About the Photographer

Hi, I am Helen Miles, a professional photographer based on the boarders of Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire and Warwickshire. In a village just outside Daventry. I started my photographer journey partway through COVID pandemic in 2019. Realising once my first child turned 4 months I was not going to get any professional photos of my child and was not allowed family  or friends to take images of my child and myself I purchased a professional camera.  I knew nothing about photography prior to the  COVID  pandemic , and I did not want to miss out on anymore time and wanted to send images to great grandparents who cannot use social media. Therefore I learnt what I could about my camera and editing and lighting. Once the COVID pandemic was finished, many of my friends asked me to take photographs of there children so I put myself on a photography course and earnt my City & Guild Bump, Newborn and Toddler which I studied for at First point photography. My prices reflect my current experience.

I am also an award winning Makeup Artist and Face & bodypainter of many years , which my sister company is Whimsical Sorceress. Therefore I am also delighted to offer a bump paint and photoshoot for those who want something a little bit different from just a standard maternity photoshoot.
